It is named by the small town in which is founded in 1868. Founded by American Florentine Ariosto Jones who was an engineer and watch maker. At that time he was director of best American watch making manufacture, Boston based Howard & Co. At one point he decided to fulfill his own ambitions and he headed to Switzerland and with his own money he started watch making manufacture that consolidated American technology with legendary Swiss timepiece making precision.

Every detail about the caliber and materials used in casings are stored in the archives and in the case of newer models there is a number of the model, date of delivery and details about the store in which it will be sold.

IWC Big Pilot’s Watch
This year IWC decided to redesign its pilot collection and to present a whole new line of watches to its admirers. New models presented are Big Pilot’s Watch Top Gun Miramar, Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Top Gun Miramar, Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Top Gun and Big Pilot’s Watch Top Gun.
Big Pilot’s Watch Top Gun Miramar has automatic mechanism that is run by 51111 mechanism with the Pellaton winding system and the casing made of the red ceramics, 48 mm in diameter.
Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Top Gun Miramar is flyback chronograph with casing that is 46 mm in diameter. Date indicator is placed in the 3 o’clock position and it can show three dated in a row.
Big Pilot’s Watch Perpetual Calendar Top Gun is run by 51614 caliber with automatic winding. Casing, 48 mm in diameter is made out of black ceramics, and on the black dial there are subdials for a date, seconds and lunar phases on north and south hemisphere. Year counter is placed between seven and eight o’clock and it is in digital form.
Big Pilot’s Watch Top Gun has a mechanical mechanism with automatic Pellaton winding system, date display and reserve power display. The mechanism is 51111 caliber with 42 rubies. The casing is made out of ceramics and it is 48 mm in diameter and this watch is water proof up to 60 meters.

Seven years in a row, part of the money from the sales of the models especially made for the Laureus Sport for Good Foundation is donated to the charity and to help run this foundation.
