IWC Schaffhausen Big Pilot’s Watch Worldtimer

Swiss manufacturer IWC Schaffhausen is one of the first choices for expensive watch aficionados, especially their latest edition of one of their most popular models – Pilot’s Watch for Father and Son

Watches have been traditional gift that passes on from one member of the family to another. When giving a gift to a man, fine watch is the only piece of jewelry that should be given to a man with style, and when such gift is received from within the members of the family it is usually something that passes on from generation to generation.

On the back of the Big Pilot Watch and Pilot’s Watch Mark XVI there is space intentionally left blank so that one day it can be engraved with the name of the person it is given to.

IWC Schaffhausen – dedicated to tradition and perfection

International Watch Co. Schaffhausen, as it is fully named, is 145 years old swiss watch making manufacture and it is one of the leaders in the business. Unlike other swiss watch making manufactures stationed in western Switzerland, IWC is the only one that is stationed in the northeast part of the country.

It is named by the small town in which is founded in 1868. Founded by American Florentine Ariosto Jones who was an engineer and watch maker. At that time he was director of best American watch making manufacture, Boston based Howard & Co. At one point he decided to fulfill his own ambitions and he headed to Switzerland and with his own money he started watch making manufacture that consolidated American technology with legendary Swiss timepiece making precision.

In the tradition of the Swiss precision and love for the watch making process, IWC is keeping detailed documentation about every watch produced in their manufacture from their beginnings till today.

Every detail about the caliber and materials used in casings are stored in the archives and in the case of newer models there is a number of the model, date of delivery and details about the store in which it will be sold.

For every watch that is more than ten years old, its owner can ask for these details. In IWC they are especially proud of the fact that their repair service can repair each piece whenever it is produced. These are the basics on which you build a legendary brand.
